    Hazelnuts

    Hazelnuts are harvested annually during autumn, starting from the 1st of November.

    They are usually eaten raw or roasted.

    Hazelnut flour is used to make chocolates. Hazelnuts are high in energy and are a great food for people who need extra calories in their diet, such as athletes and children.

    Hazelnuts contain very little water, lipids, proteins, carbohydrates, dietary fibre and have a very high calorie count.


    Hazelnuts also contain:

    - Other: Folic Acid, antioxidants and monounsaturated fat (oleic and linoleic acids).
